Interim / Fractional Technical Leadership

  • Interim R&D Director for $200M business, reporting to CRDO , served as functional lead on business management team, oversaw the development and advancement of cost savings and innovation projects and advised on long term technical strategy. 


  • Fractional/Interim VP of R&D of $1.5MM business, reporting to EVP of Manufacturing, served as functional lead of product, packaging and regulatory groups to advance programs, develop staff, and implement best practices.


  • As interim Packaging R&D Director of +$1MM business, oversaw cost savings and quality initiatives


  • Developed and coached on individual development plans for staff at a several food and beverage companies.


  • Coached several individuals within the Food & Beverage industry on working across functions, managing people and increasing technical rigor.


Sprint-Based Bootcamps

  • Oversaw the successful national launch of an award winning premium frozen yogurt line by identifying and developing suppliers and co-manufacturer, creating and testing prototypes in labs and pilot plants, and coordinating and conducting full scale manufacturing trials.   

 

  • Reformulated and scaled-up a plant based beverage portfolio to extend shelf life by working with suppliers, pilot plant facilities and manufacturing plant. 


  • Implemented a multi-million dollar yogurt cost saving opportunity by identifying opportunity, aligning the organization, and conducting manufacturing trials to commercialize.


  • Worked with an ingredient company to identify package solutions and co-packers to reposition their product in order to increase usage by bringing it direct to consumers.


  • Conducted on-site workshops to technical teams focused on improving business communication effectiveness.


  • Conducted "How it's Made" seminars for product development groups and business leadership teams, educating on the manufacture and formulation requirements of ice cream and yogurt.

Strategic Technical Advising

  • Created multi-year cost savings pipeline for a major yogurt manufacturer by aligning cross functional organization on opportunities and resource allocation.


  • Advised a global food and biochemicals company on alternate uses and manufacturing of food grade lactic acid production.  


  • Advised private investment firms as they evaluated acquiring food and beverage ingredient companies.  


  • Served as an industry expert to provide guidance to companies seeking advice in value added ingredients, manufacturing, and market landscape.
